Description
Harriet Tubman The Underground Railroad 20231112 v2
Harriet Tubman was an American abolitionist and social activist. She was born as Araminta Ross in March 1822 in Dorchester County, Maryland, U.S. She escaped slavery and made some 13 missions to rescue approximately 70 enslaved people, including her family and friends, using the network of antislavery activists and safe houses known collectively as the Underground Railroad. During the American Civil War, she served as an armed scout and spy for the Union Army. In her later years, Tubman was an activist in the movement for women’s suffrage.
Restored and enhanced, this original black and white picture comes to live, giving it a new historical visual perspective. Perfect for the modern home, office, and any other space that's prime for the art of colorful nostalgia.
