Back in the days when film and photo plates were king, and photography meant staking out a scene for hours sometimes days or even weeks in advance to get that perfect sunlight or misty atmosphere, photography was a bonifide art form. Ansel Adams used to trek for miles in the high mountains with a few mules in tote, set up camp, then wake up in ungodly hours to capture that perfect scene.
